Given that we’re about a year out from the 2020 Presidential Election, we devoted our Fall Survey to taking the pulse of the average American on current events and “progressive” policies like Medicare for All and UBI. Here are our top takeaways:
THE PEOPLE ARE POLARIZED
2 in 3 Americans are concerned about policies being enacted by the current administration, but 51% feel their lives have been directly impacted by changes – for better or worse
CLIMATE CHANGE IS #1 CONCERN
According to 20% of US Adults polled, Global Warming/Climate Change is seen as the #1 biggest national security threat; this ranked higher than perceived threats from Russia, China, North Korea and Iran combined
GENERATIONAL DIFFERENCES ARE REAL
Variations in response were most stark when comparing Millennials to Boomers, with younger Americans…
- 2X more interested in Medicare for All & Universal Basic Income (UBI)
- Significantly more concerned about Global Warming/Climate Change & Cyber Warfare/Weaponized Data
- Ready to see a younger President in the White House in 2020 (index 1.70)
